The work we do
Sheds & custom carpentry
JB's Universal Renovations handles shed improvements and custom carpentry in Elkhart County and the surrounding area. Projects can range from updating an existing shed's exterior to building a bar, improving storage, or planning a feature for a room or outdoor space.
Our galleries include a complete shed transformation and a custom bar documented from its construction through installation. They show the materials, layout, preparation, and finish of real work. You can use them as a starting point while choosing the size, appearance, and functions that suit your own project.
We’re based in Elkhart, Indiana and serve Elkhart County and surrounding areas. Contact us with your location to confirm availability for your project.
Start with the details
What to send for an estimate
Send the available dimensions, photos of the location, and an example of the style you like. For a shed, include the base, walls, roof edges, and door opening. For custom carpentry, explain what needs to fit and how you will use it.

Common questions
Can you work from an idea or reference photo?
Yes. A reference photo is a useful starting point. We still need to discuss your dimensions, materials, budget, and the details that would make the build work in your space.
Can an existing shed be updated?
Yes. Send photos so we can review the condition and the changes you want. Repairs, preparation, trim, and paint should be agreed on as part of the scope before the makeover starts.
What if my project is not shown on the website?
Tell us about it. Our work spans homes, outdoor structures, and trailers, and we can review whether your custom project is a fit for our experience and schedule.
